Coney Island Shooting Claims Eight Lives, Four of Them Children
Tyunews.com – The New York Police Department confirmed that at least eight individuals, including four minors, were shot during an incident in Brooklyn's Coney Island on the evening of July 4. The attack took place around 10:37 p.m. on the 2900 block of West 31st Street, according to police.
Victims and Medical Response
The injured, whose identities were not disclosed, comprised a 37-year-old man, a 33-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, a 21-year-old woman, and three boys aged 14, 12, and 7. A 6-year-old boy was also among the casualties. All victims were taken to local hospitals by emergency services, with seven in stable condition. However, the 21-year-old woman remains in critical condition.
“Emergency medical services transported all the injured to nearby hospitals. While seven were reported in stable condition, the 21-year-old woman was listed in critical condition,” the NYPD stated.

Preliminary reports indicate that a firearm was recovered at the scene, though no arrests have been made as of now.
