Authorities Hunt for Two Parachutists After Space Needle Leap

Tyunews.com – Seattle law enforcement officials are currently looking for two individuals who made an extraordinary exit from the city's landmark Space Needle. On Friday evening, the pair scaled past the glass barrier at the top of the 605-foot tower, flipped over the edge, and descended using parachutes.

How the Incident Unfolded

According to the Seattle Police Department, both men bought admission tickets and entered the attraction around 8:50 p.m. on Friday. The observation deck features a circular design with tall glass windows that remain open to the sky above.

Security cameras captured footage of the two men at the highest level of the structure. They subsequently entered a restroom and emerged wearing helmets. Police report that they then sprinted toward the glass window, climbed over to the exterior side, and leaped off the building.

Current Status and Descriptions

Space Needle security personnel were uncertain about the landing location of the jumpers. As of Saturday, police had been unable to locate the individuals. Authorities have not formally identified them, describing them simply as white men in their late twenties.

The jumpers could face trespassing charges related to the incident, according to a statement from Public Affairs Officer Brian Pritchard.
