Two Dead, One Injured in Dearborn Mall Shooting

“The incident was not a random act of violence but occurred between two individuals who knew each other. A confrontation started, which quickly turned into gunfire,” stated Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin.
WXYZ reported that officers arrived shortly before 1:30 p.m. local time to find three people wounded by gunfire. Two of the victims later died, one at the mall and the other at a hospital, as per Shahin’s account.
Shahin mentioned that several witnesses are being interviewed at the police station. He also noted that the motive for the shooting is still under investigation, with no arrests made so far. The incident is currently being probed by law enforcement.
Those involved in the shooting are believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, with ages comparable to the chief’s children, according to officials.
