She alleged that Miller “threw her against the wall, which resulted in an obvious grab mark on her upper arm” and had previously “held a gun to her head” while also throwing hot water on her during arguments.
“Daddy kill you,” Moreno’s daughter reportedly told her during one incident.
The police records further indicate that Moreno informed officers her child sustained physical injuries while under Miller’s care. Despite these allegations, court records show Miller was never formally charged with any criminal offense. The Department of Children and Family Services also concluded there was insufficient evidence to support child abuse allegations.
Miller Denies Wrongdoing and Takes Legal Action
The congressman has consistently maintained his innocence regarding the accusations. In a defamation lawsuit filed against Moreno, Miller characterized the claims as a “repeated pattern” of false allegations intended “to ruin my reputation, gain an edge in custody and litigation matters, and seek revenge.”
Meanwhile, Moreno’s attorneys recently requested a restraining order against Miller, citing what they described as “harassment and threats” toward their legal team. The couple exchanged vows at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, where the former president delivered a toast at their wedding ceremony.

These domestic abuse claims are not new for Miller. Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham publicly accused him of physical abuse in her 2021 autobiography. She later confirmed her identity as the victim in a Washington Post editorial, stating that White House officials were notified at the time but failed to intervene.
Miller denied Grisham’s claims and filed a defamation suit against her during his 2023 congressional campaign. The parties eventually reached a confidential agreement. Grisham is now pursuing legal action against Miller, alleging he breached their settlement terms by discussing the case in his public denials of Moreno’s accusations.
Political Response and Family Dynamics
Some Democratic members of Congress have urged Miller to resign and have called for an ethics investigation into the allegations. The White House declined to provide comment regarding either Grisham’s or Moreno’s claims.
